Working at Austronics

Austronics is one of Adelaide's foremost providers of professional services within the security and communications sectors at the domestic level. Our disciplines include security, entertainment, communications and convenience. Our clients include many of Adelaide's premier home builders.

So, if you are enthusiastic and conscientious and could fill a position as either a Senior Technician or Cabling Technician, we would like to hear from you.

Ideally, applicants will be highly experienced, registered with a Security Agent's Licence and be an Austel approved installer.

Position Description

Our roles are suited to individuals who have a passion for the electronics and construction industries, and can demonstrate good troubleshooting skills. Some of the duties will include:

  • new installations, renovations and maintenance on residential and commercial sites
  • installation and commissioning of Security Systems including Access Control and Intercom
  • installation and commissioning of Voice and Data Networks (including fibre)
  • installation and commissioning of PA and Paging Systems
  • installation and commissioning of Antenna, MATV and CCTV Systems
  • reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and specifications
  • liaising with internal staff, management, builder's representatives and consultants

Key Personal Characteristics

Key personal characteristics required for positions within our company include:

  • ability to manage and lead a small team (Senior Technician)
  • strong commitment to OH&S
  • enthusiasm, commitment, and the desire to achieve
  • promptness, reliability and ethical behaviour at all times
  • dedication to meet deadlines through strong organisational skills and time-management skills

Based on your experience, you may also be provided with a company vehicle.
